Laguna Golf Course
The 18 Holes have been laid out over level ground
and although the layout of
the course allows for the
golfer to "go a stray" somewhat off the tees,
it still has a great deal of
difficulty when the water comes
in to play (especially when the wind starts to get
up off the coast!).
The course seems quite simple to start with. An average
distance par-5 1st,
easy Par-3 2nd, but once
you move under the bridge to confront the 4th, you
cannot help but start to
wonder how on earth the
par-4 5th is to be played. Straight and precise, are
words that spring to
mind.
Generally though it is open fairways for the player
with very few trees to
present difficulties or shade
during hot months. However, there are many water hazards
(hence the name
Laguna) with strategically
placed bunkers in open terrain.
It is a course that may not leave you with fond memories
after the first
round but play it again, it works
on you.
A good links course at a great price.
